BAR & GRILL

  • Muskegon River - Michigan's largest river, the Muskegon River, windingly cuts through pine covered cliffs from Hardy Dam and Croton Dam through the old river town, Newaygo. Formerly common to Lumberjacks, where its first sawmill was built by the Penoyer Brothers, the Muskegon River and its large dammed backwater reservoirs now attract many tourists to Newaygo all suited for boating, camping, canoeing, fishing, hunting, kayaking, rafting, trapping, tubing, and water-skiing.

  • Manistee National Forest - Formed in 1938, the Manistee National Forest has since continued to be protected ensuing great progress to recovery. Logging of the late 1800s resulted in quick cut and cleared land now healthy again through the works of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources as well as other partners.
  • Administratively combined with the Huron National Forest in 1945, these two National Forests currently offer the public nearly a million acres of land providing opportunities for visitors, habitat for fish and wildlife, and resources for local industry.

  • Newaygo County Lakes - As some of Michigan's most beautiful waterscape, Newaygo County lakes include Baptist, Benton, Bills, Blanch, Brooks, Crystal, Diamond, Fremont, Hess, Indian, Nichols, Pettibone, Pickeral, Robinson, Twinwood, and Walkup. With great fishing and recreation all-year-round, common lake amenities consist of boat ramps, campgrounds, beaches, parks, and playgrounds.

  • Bridgeton - Downriver and within minutes of downtown Newaygo, Bridgeton is home to Muskegon Motorcycle Club's annual spring and fall hill climbs, TT scrambles, and dirt drags. Riders of all ages compete in various events featuring motorcycles of all makes, models and sizes. As many as 200 competitors per day can be seen showing-off their talent while great weather and good times, combined with the thrills and chills of riders simply trying to hang-on, ensure your family a weekend of pure fun.

  • High Rollaway - Miles and miles of beautiful forest views can be observed top of the High Rollaway roadside park located on M-82 just east of Newaygo. Autumn colors filling award-winning panoramic frames perfect for any shutterbug abound. With public access to the Muskegon River, a 4 to 6-hour canoe trip having a downtown Newaygo final destination is perfect for the entire family.
